Grand Opening Celebration Draws a Crowd

More than 1,500 people attended our Grand Opening Celebration to get a sneak peek of the new WakeMed Children’s Hospital and new patient tower.

Everyone enjoyed live music by The Grass Cats, local performances by the 8th Grade Ravenscroft Quartet, the YMCA Super Skippers and the Payal Dance Academy.

The kids especially enjoyed the Teddy Bear Clinic, face painting and the butterfly launch which followed the special dedication ceremony. Our physicians and staff were proud to show off our new facility.
